Kristan Bromley runs cutting-edge winter sports technology company, Bromley Technologies. They required an urgent microsite building to support a big promotional push for their new Baseboard high-tech sledges at the World Ski & Snowboard Festival where they were one of the sponsors.

From receipt of text, photos and computer generated renders of the brand new Baseboards, I designed and built a micro-website from scratch in just three days giving them a stylish and informative on-line presence at www.bromleytechnologies.com/baseboard/ for the Festival and beyond.

Orbital Repair Solutions required a relatively simple yet stylish and professional site to provide them with an online presence. Using their supplied logo and text, I designed and built an elegant content managed one page scrolling site complete with image slider, contact form and basic SEO. I also provided hosting for them as well as an IMAP email account.

Having designed and built Shelley Rudman’s original personal website back in 2008, I tweeted Shelley and suggested that it could be improved and revamped as part of her build-up toward competing in the Bob Skeleton event at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. She agreed and I took the opportunity to re-work the site with a fresh, clean new look incorporating a front page slide-show, an improved selection of press and media mentions, updated galleries, new social media links and a donations page.

Behind the scenes a content management system was introduced so that Shelley could easily add articles and posts herself and I also provided the hosting for the new site at www.shelleyrudman.com

Susie Felix runs a small social media consultancy and she felt her logo and branding did not accurately reflect the her personality and the quality of her work. I designed her a new logo that I felt was distinctive but not overly corporate and came up with a strap-line that helped describe her business.

I also designed and artworked her stationery, provided Facebook and Twitter profile images, helped her upgrade her email signature and produced a simple holding page whilst she works on the text for her new website at www.susiefelixsocialmedia.co.uk.

Sue Wardle at Links CRM recommended me to Tonbridge Accident Repair Centre (also know as TARC), a family run business in need of a logo and a significant website update. I designed a logo for them which reflected the vehicle industry whilst not making it too corporate and sterile as they are a family run independent.

Once the logo was approved – using text and images supplied – I designed, coded and built a content managed responsive website which had to appeal to private as well as commercial customers. As well as photo retouching and copyediting, I also set-up hosting and IMAP email, as well as sorting domain transfers and updating their profile on the Yell directory website.

Melrose Knight Developments is a relatively small company who provide renovation, refurbishment, building and maintenance services in and around Buckinghamshire. They needed an online presence to help build their client list so using the logo, text and images supplied I designed and built them a clean microsite at www.melroseknight.com with lightbox image galleries and a contact form. The site is responsive (so it re-sizes itself on tablets and smartphones) and is designed to be easily expandable so that they can add photos of new projects as they complete them. I also provided hosting for the site.

I met Lee Goward whilst I worked on the iPaintPro website. In January 2011 he asked me to help him out with Challenge7 – a fund raising initiative in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. Lee planned on completing seven gruelling cycling challenges over seven months, from cycling London to Paris in less than 24 hours, to riding west to east across the Pyrenees in five days as well as London to Monaco in six days!

To support this he initially wanted a simple website to help raise awareness of the challenges but after an in-depth discussion the list of requirements increased somewhat so I ended up working on the following:

Logo
From several concepts, Lee chose his favourite which I refined before producing versions suitable for professional print, web and in-house printing / presentations.

Website
Designed to be flexible, clean and modern I created and built the multi-page site www.challenge7.com which includes home page image and video slider, promotional areas, tabbed text layouts, bike GPS integration and SEO. The site is responsive so it re-sizes itself when displayed on tablets and smartphones. I also arranged the domain purchase, hosting and set-up IMAP email accounts. At the time of writing I continue to update the site with relevant content and news stories as required.

Social Media
I created all the Challenge7 social media and Just Giving donation pages and added graphics were necessary along with initial content:

Business Cards and A5 Flyer
Utilising images I retouched from a photoshoot with Skinny Cat Photography (who I had put Lee in-touch with), I designed a set of cards for Lee and arranged for them to be printed. I also designed and copywrote an awareness raising flyer for Challenge7 and supplied repro-ready artwork for Lee.

Video
I created the original Challenge7 introductory video which is used on the website and I edited other videos Lee supplied to me, top-and-tailed them with logos, and added to his YouTube channel, website and Facebook.

Cycle Clothing and Support Van
I supplied logos in file formats as requested and made layout suggestions for the branding of Lee’s cycle clothing and the graphics on his support vehicle.

Sue Wardle decided to set up her own customer relationships management business called Links CRM. Using a logo designed by Ellen Roelvink I designed and built a small responsive microsite www.linkscrm.co.uk that succinctly summed up the services Sue offers her customers. A simple slide show was added on the home page for interest along with a contact form. Try as I might she wouldn’t let me add any other pages so I had to make do by artworking Sue some business cards and letterhead!

Claire Wright was in the process of getting her new company, The Soho Furrier, off the ground. The business takes a contemporary, fashion forward approach to create stunning collections of beautiful fur pieces and accessories for everyday wear. Claire approached me as she required the logo she had designed in PowerPoint (!) turning into actual artwork suitable for professional repro as well as web friendly and self-print versions. I thought the logo could do with some more work so I designed a new version that I felt combined the traditional aspect of her business with her forward looking approach. The logo is used extensively on her initial website, events, clothing labels and so forth.
